Kakinada: Transgender person Simhadri Tamanna will contest the forthcoming elections from the Pithapuram assembly constituency on behalf of the Bharata Chaitanya Yuvajana (BCY) Party.
Tamanna will fight the election against, among others, film star and Jana Sena chief Pawan Kalyan.
The transgender had contested the 2019 elections in Mangalagiri assembly constituency against TD general secretary Nara Lokesh. The BCY party announced Tamanna's contest from Pithapuram.
Comments have started that Pawan Kalyan will meet the same fate in Pithapuram assembly that Lokesh had met in Mangalagiri in 2019 elections.
