TPCC Chief Hails Revanth's Vision, Slams BRS and BJP

Mahesh Goud questioned Telangana Jagruti chief K. Kavitha's aspirations for the Chief Minister's post.

Hyderabad: Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee (TPCC) president Mahesh Kumar Goud expressed strong confidence in the state's future, claiming Telangana is poised to outpace all others, especially following the proposed Future City project. Speaking in New Delhi, Goud credited Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy's clear vision for this anticipated success. He asserted that public satisfaction with the Congress government is robust, citing its unparalleled welfare programmes, and noted that Hyderabad's already excellent status is being further cemented by the CM's development strategy. Politically, Goud believes the Congress is set for an easy victory in the upcoming Assembly elections.

Goud simultaneously launched a sharp critique against opposition parties. Directly targeting the BRS, he questioned Telangana Jagruti chief K. Kavitha's aspirations for the Chief Minister's post. While acknowledging political ambition as normal, he warned against it devolving into greed. Citing her past legal issues, Goud suggested that a leader seeking the top job from what he called a declining party simply highlights the BRS's dim future. He alleged the BRS is losing ground and its grassroots support, claiming former chief minister K. Chandrashekhar Rao even avoided campaigning in certain constituencies, like Jubilee Hills, out of fear of defeat.

The TPCC president was equally dismissive of the BJP's chances, stating the party would never come to power in Telangana. He accused the central government of burdening citizens with GST and soaring prices, and claimed BJP-ruled states offer minimal welfare benefits. In contrast, Goud highlighted the Telangana Congress government's pro-people agenda, which, he said, features comprehensive welfare schemes that go significantly beyond basic provisions.
