TMC Makes 10 Pledges In Poll Manifesto: 'Duare Chikitsa' Camps, Rs 500 Hike In Lakshmir Bhandar

Unveiling the manifesto, West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee said these commitments would serve as the guiding map for the government once the TMC returns to power for a fourth consecutive term.

Kolkata: The Trinamul Congress on Friday released its Assembly election manifesto outlining 10 key promises, including expansion of welfare schemes, agricultural support and administrative reorganisation.

The pledges include Lakshmir Bhandar, Yuba Sathi, a ₹30,000-crore agriculture budget, housing, drinking water supply, Duare Chikitsa, education upgrades, industrial growth, old age pension support and creation of seven new districts.
Meanwhile, WB Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee, addressing the manifesto launch, accused Prime Minister Narendra Modi of imposing an “unofficial” President’s Rule in the state through actions of the Election Commission.
“It's not unofficial but an official President's Rule that has been imposed here! Shame! Modiji has resorted to the President's Rule to conduct polls here. Why does he fear the people of Bengal so much?” she said.
She also alleged irregularities in voter list revision, claiming that names of around 10 lakh voters had been marked for deletion in the first supplementary list.
“Out of the figure, 10 lakhs have been removed from the voters' list. Most of these deletions were made in Murshidabad, Malda and North Dinajpur, targeting a particular community,” she said.
The Chief Minister further alleged delays in the revision process and questioned whether it could be completed before the elections.
“They have imposed the President's Rule already. They are not talking about it. But their activities prove that,” she said.
She also accused central authorities of pressuring state officials and raised concerns over cross-border issues.
The manifesto release marks the start of TMC’s campaign, combining welfare commitments with criticism of the Centre ahead of the Assembly polls.
