Hyderabad: In the first incident, three persons who were returning from a birthday celebration died on the spot when their car rammed a divider and overturned at Jammichedu locality in Jogulamba Gadwal district. Three others travelling in the car suffered injuries.
Police identified the deceased as Naresh, 23, Pavan Kumar, 28, and Anjaneyulu, 50.
Police said that six persons were returning from a doctor’s residence, venue for the birthday party in Gadwal. The driver lost control and rammed the vehicle into the divider, police said.
In the second incident, three persons including a woman died and two others suffered critical injuries when their SUV overturned in Pahadisharif at about 2.30 am on Saturday. The vehicle was travelling at high speed and the driver lost control and hit a divider at Mamidipally after which the vehicle overturned.
Pahadisharif police said the victims were heading towards Mama-dipally from Chandra-yangutta.
Driver Mohammed Hassan and Mohahhed Akbar, both 22, and Nazia Begum, 21, died on the spot. Mohammed Sajid, 18, and Muskan Meraj, suffered critical injuries and are undergoing treatment in a private hospital.
