SIA Raids 11 Locations in Kashmir to Disrupt Terror Networks
Crackdown targets Srinagar, Ganderbal, Sopore, Baramulla, and Handwara; digital evidence and documents seized

In a major crackdown on terror networks, the State Investigation Agency (SIA) on Saturday carried out at least 11 raids across multiple locations in Central and North Kashmir to target individuals suspected of being involved in terror-related activities.
Official sources said the searches were conducted in Srinagar and Ganderbal districts in Central Kashmir, and in Sopore, Baramulla, and Handwara areas in North Kashmir. The operations were carried out jointly with local police and paramilitary forces and are part of a broader strategy to dismantle the logistical and financial infrastructure supporting terrorism in the region.
“These operations are part of a sustained effort to monitor and dismantle the ecosystem of terrorism,” a senior official said. Raids were conducted at both residential and commercial premises, where digital devices, documents, and other materials were seized for forensic examination.
Sources revealed that the raids followed credible intelligence inputs pointing to the involvement of specific individuals or groups suspected of aiding or abetting terrorism. Investigators are now examining possible links between local operatives and active militants operating in the Valley and from across the border.
The SIA is also probing terror financing routes, communication channels, and logistical support systems that may be used by anti-national elements. This is part of a coordinated effort to choke the operational capacity of terror outfits.
Earlier, on May 11, the agency had launched a similar crackdown with raids at 20 locations across South Kashmir.
These back-to-back operations signal an intensified drive by security agencies to neutralize terror networks, especially in the run-up to the annual Amarnath Yatra.
Authorities confirmed that the raids were ongoing and further details would be shared upon the conclusion of the operation.
