Comedian Samay Raina removed all the videos of his show 'India Got Latent' from YouTube following the recent controversy that left the internet in splits.

YouTuber Ranveer Allahbadia erupted the controversy with his storming remarks on the show last week. The issue left Raina in a limbo as he was served summons by the Maharashtra Cyber Department.
Taking to X, Raina said, "Everything that is happening has been too much for me to handle. I have removed all India's Got Latent videos from my channel. My only objective was to make people laugh and have a good time. I will fully cooperate with all agencies to ensure their inquiries are concluded fairly. Thank you."
In addition, Allahbadia, who has around 16 million followers across social media platforms also got into legal trouble over his incest joke.
As the clip went viral, people demanded serious action against him.
The overwhelming backlash forced Allahbadia to issue an apology video on his social media handle, saying, "My comment wasn't just inappropriate, it wasn't even funny. Comedy is not my forte, just here to say sorry. Many of you asked if this is how I want to use my platform. No this is not how I will use it. I'm not here to give any context or justification. I'm just here for an apology. I personally had a lapse in my judgement, it wasn't cool on my part."
"My podcast is watched by people of all ages. Don't want to be the person who takes that responsibility lightly. Family is the last thing I will disrespect. Need to use this platform better. That's been my learning from this whole incident. I've asked makers to remove the insensitive sections from the video. I'm sorry. Hope you can forgive me as a human being," he added.
On Tuesday, the cyber police after registered the First Information Report (FIR) into the matter reportedly issued notices to people involved with the show, including those who had participated in the past episodes. Additionally, the authorities have also directed the producers of the show to take down all the 18 episodes across social media platforms.
The FIR related to the case has been registered on Tuesday, under relevant sections of the Information Technology Act.
Preliminary investigation revealed that many participants used obscene and Vulgar Language in earlier episodes too. The controversy has also sparked a fresh debate on freedom of speech and what accounts for decency.
