RSS Chief In MP: Indian Hindus Need Confidence; Society, Not Leaders, Builds The Nation

Mr. Bhagwat said that the Sangh will strive to take the nation to the peak of development on the basis of organized strength of the whole society and by protecting our dharma.

Bhopal: Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) chief Mohan Bhagwat on Friday said that nation is not built by leaders or policies but by the collective efforts of the society.

Interacting with the youths here, the RSS supremo said that a nation is built by the collective efforts of its citizens and the government and political system only play a supportive role in its growth.

“Hence, the society should be empowered enough to ensure that the government and the political system function properly”, he said.

The RSS has been working for the last 100 years for building the citizens with this thinking, he added.

Mr. Bhagwat said that the Sangh will strive to take the nation to the peak of development on the basis of organized strength of the whole society and by protecting our dharma.

Speaking on the attacks on Hindus, he said that Hindus in India should be capable enough to protect Hindus in Bangladesh. Hindus should have self confidence, and be organized.

He said that the world understands only power, not the truth.

That is why India should be intellectually, mentally and morally strong.

The role of the Sangh is to build a strong nation so that India will be a model to follow by the world, he said.

But the world looks at India to show the right path because the world knows it is India which alone can guide the world, he said.

He said that India should remain rooted to its civilization and culture while moving in the path of progress.

Mr. Bhagwat arrived here on Friday on a two-day visit to Madhya Pradesh.
