Raut Attacks Modi Over Silence on Iran War
Shiv Sena UBT leader says ‘Vishwa Guru’ claim has collapsed amid Iran conflict

Mumbai: Shiv Sena UBT leader Sanjay Raut has criticised Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s silence on the West India war, saying India as a country has “completely lost its existence” and Prime Minister Narendra Modi hasn’t spoken a word on the crisis. The myth that Modi is a ‘Vishwa Guru’ has clearly collapsed in the war developments, he said.
The Rajya Sabha MP also said the United States of America and Israel are acting like global bullies, while big countries like India, who until yesterday were boasting of their strength, are acting like agents of these bullies.
“When war has flared up in West Asia, India as a country has completely lost its existence among all the developments,” Raut stated. He insisted India should lead global efforts to halt the Iran war, but lamented that this has exposed the ‘hollowness’ of Indian leadership worldwide.
“Modi supporters always spread the myth that he is a ‘Vishwa Guru.’ This myth has been completely in the Middle East developments. Prime Minister Modi suddenly went on a visit to Israel. What did he do there? When he stood up to speak in the Israeli parliament, all the opponents boycotted his speech. As soon as Modi returned to his homeland, Israel attacked Iran and killed Supreme Leader Khamenei. Then, after, Modi has almost gone into silence. He did not utter a single word on the state of war that is a disgrace to humanity,” he said.
Raut stated that US President Donald Trump and Israel saw Iran as something to crush like a ‘cockroach.’ After assassinating Supreme Leader Ayatollah Khamenei, they expected the conflict to end quickly. Instead, Iran persists in fighting, striking Israel even after heavy losses of leaders and troops.
The Iran-Israel war has completely destroyed global peace and stability. America’s plans to take control of Iran and install a man there who dances to its tune have been completely thwarted, he added.
