The trust expressed shock and distress over the situation, saying it was committed to ensuring a fair investigation and restoring devotees’ confidence.
It further clarified that all offerings made directly by devotees to Lord Ram including items such as silver bricks and jewellery remain safe and have been properly recorded and accounted for.
In its statement, the trust assured devotees that corrective steps would be taken to prevent similar incidents in the future and urged the public not to be misled by rumours or misinformation. It emphasized that the sanctity of the temple had not been harmed.
While reasserting its stance, the trust said it believed the truth would emerge and that the spiritual significance of the temple and devotion of millions of followers remained intact.
