Ram Mandir Donation Controversy, Census Among Key Issues at RSS Conclave

Belagavi: Irregularities in counting donations at the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Mandir in Ayodhya, the forthcoming census, concerns over population imbalance and the growing menace of drug abuse were among the key issues deliberated during the three-day Akhil Bharatiya Prant Pracharak Baithak of the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS), which concluded in Belagavi on Sunday.
The meeting was attended by RSS Sarsanghachalak Dr. Mohan Bhagwat, Sarkaryavah Dattatreya Ji Hosabale, along with 226 Karyakartas.
Among the issues that drew attention was the Ayodhya Ram Mandir donation counting controversy.
“In the meeting, everyone expressed grief over the incident of irregularities in the counting of the donation box offerings at the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Mandir, and expressed confidence that the ongoing SIT and police action, initiated at the request of the Teerth Kshetra Nyas, will reach a decisive turn. It was expected of the Teerth Kshetra Nyas to ensure that no such incident occurs in the future which could hurt the reverence and deep faith of all Ram Bhakts toward the Ram Mandir,” RSS Akhil Bharatiya Prachar Pramukh Sunil Ambekar said a in a press statement after the meeting.
The meeting discussed various topics concerning the current scenario, including information regarding the census and the challenges arising from population imbalance.
The leaders expressed concerns over the growing ill-effects of drugs, the need for priority efforts toward de-addiction and the planning for programs to mark the 650th birth anniversary year of Sant Shiromani Ravidas Maharaj.
Detailed discussions were held regarding the implementation of the action plan at the Shakha level, and the maximum Shakha Vistar Yojana for the month of September was also discussed.
The meeting also reviewed follow-up initiatives linked to the Sangh's centenary year.
Plans were discussed to actively engage people who came into contact through various programs of the Sangh centenary year in social work and Panch Parivartan initiatives.

The meeting was told that this year, a total of 83 Sangh Shiksha Varg and 12 Karyakarta Vikas Varg concluded across the country, in which a total of 18,842 Swayamsevaks were trained. This training included subjects like daily shakha, Sangh karyapaddhati, Gram Vikas, Kutumba Prabodhan, disaster management and environment.
A review of the completed programs of the Sangh centenary year and the planning for the remaining scheduled programs was considered and the tour program of Sarsanghachalak for the year 2026-27 was also discussed.
