Prakasam Pantulu Remembered On 68th Death Anniv

The 68th death anniversary of freedom fighter and first Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh Andhra Kesari Tanguturi Prakasam Pantulu was observed in Ongole on Tuesday.

NELLORE: The 68th death anniversary of freedom fighter and first Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh Andhra Kesari Tanguturi Prakasam Pantulu was observed in Ongole on Tuesday.


A special tribute ceremony was held at the Collector’s Office where his statue stands.

Prakasam Pantulu's grandson Tanguturi Santosh Kumar was honoured on the occasion.
Public representatives, officials, citizens paid floral tributes and reflected on Prakasam Pantulu's courage, sacrifice and service to the nation.


Ongole MLA Damacharla Janardhan described Prakasam Pantulu as a fearless leader whose values remain timeless and inspirational.


Santhanuthalapadu MLA B.N. Vijaya Kumar praised Prakasam Pantulu's decision to leave a successful legal career to fight for Indian Independence. Ongole mayor Gangada Sujatha said Prakasam Pantulu's life remains a guiding light for those in public service.


District collector A. Thameem Ansariya encouraged the people to follow Prakasam Pantulu's ideals.


Joint collector R. Gopal Krishna, district revenue officer Chinna Obulesu, municipal commissioner Venkateswara Rao, district education officer Kiran Kumar, district medical and health officer Dr. Venkateswara Rao and Sentinel CEO Srimannarayana, along with staff from various departments, participated in the ceremony.
