SIR: 83.61 pc Voters In Haryana, 89.22 pc In AP Return Enumeration Forms

New Delhi: The Enumeration Forms (EF) of 83.61 per cent voters in Haryana came back to Booth Level Officers (BLOs) while in Andhra Pradesh 89.22% electors returned their forms during the ongoing Special Intensive Revision (SIR) exercise of electoral rolls. The draft rolls for these two states were released on Friday.
In Andhra Pradesh 7.37 lakh voters were found to be registered in multiple places while in Haryana this number was 2.04 lakh.
As per data released by the state election bodies, in Andhra Pradesh 15.22 lakh (3.66%) voters were found to be dead since the last SIR and 22.30 (5.35%) lakh had permanently shifted or were absent during door to door verification, or had not submitted their EFs.
In Haryana 24.13 lakh voters (11.68%) were reported to have permanently shifted or absent and 7.66 lakh were found to be dead.
The voters have time till August 30 to file claims and objections on the draft list before the publication of the final electoral roll on October 3.
