Shah: India Not Dharamshala For Infiltrators
He once again highlighted the importance of the Uniform Civil Code implementation in Bengal, a day after announcing it in his party manifesto. “The Uniform Civil Code (UCC) will be implemented to end appeasement politics in the state,” the BJP stalwart pointed out before attacking the TMC for unleashing violence against his party

Kolkata: Union home minister Amit Shah made clear on Saturday India was not a "dharamshala" for infiltrators and warned them of eviction from the country including West Bengal after BJP comes to power in the state in this Assembly Election.
He also made a second personal attack on Chief Minister and Trinamul Congress supremo Mamata Banerjee, mocking her injuries in the past. The BJP stalwart sarcastically suggested she should tie bandages in a bid to look injured this time and play a “victim card” to woo the voters but her attempt would fail.
Shah told a BJP poll campaign rally at Onda in Bankura, “Infiltrators pose a danger. They eat away food and jobs which are meant for our youth and poor. Bengal will not allow even one. India is not a Dharamshala. It is our land. Those who grabbed it illegally, will be thrown out.”
He once again highlighted the importance of the Uniform Civil Code implementation in Bengal, a day after announcing it in his party manifesto. “The Uniform Civil Code (UCC) will be implemented to end appeasement politics in the state,” the BJP stalwart pointed out before attacking the TMC for unleashing violence against his party.
He alleged that more than 300 BJP workers lost their lives in poll-related violence. “TMC goons think that nothing will happen to them. But they should know now that those who have harassed BJP workers will be held accountable when the BJP comes to power here. TMC goons should stay at home on the poll day. None of them will be allowed to step out to unleash terror or disrupt free and fair polling.”
Shah observed, “The Election Commission is taking adequate measures to ensure voters can exercise their rights without fear. Once the BJP comes to power, no culprit will be spared and action will be taken against them according to the law.”
Addressing another rally at Chhatna in the district, the Union home minister again took a swipe at her injuries she had suffered before the Assembly polls in 2021 and Lok Sabha polls in 2024. “Mamata Didi wears bandages on her legs and head sometimes. This time, tie a bandage, wherever you like, on your head or feet. But the people of Bengal will not vote for you in this election,” he claimed. Mr Shah earlier made a similar attack on Ms Banerjee on March 28.
