RSS for one temple, well, cremation ground

RSS sources said Bhagwat underscored the significance of "sanskar (values)" as the bedrock of Hindu society, urging its members to build a society rooted in tradition, cultural values and moral principles

New Delhi: Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) chief Mohan Bhagwat on Sunday urged an end to caste divisions within the Hindu community, calling for adoption of the mantra “one temple, one well and one cremation ground” for all. Speaking at shakhas held at HB Inter College and Panchan Nagri Park during his five‑day Aligarh visit, he said true social unity is vital for India to shoulder its global peace responsibilities.

Bhagwat highlighted “sanskar” (values) as the cornerstone of Hindu society and encouraged swayamsevaks to actively welcome people from all backgrounds into their homes to foster harmony at the grassroots level. Emphasising the family as society’s basic unit, he advocated strong familial bonds rooted in those values. He also recommended that community-wide festival celebrations be used to reinforce nationalism and social cohesion.
The visit, which began on April 17, includes daily meetings with RSS pracharaks from the Braj region as the organisation prepares for its centenary celebrations this Vijayadashami.
