Handed Over All Indian Data Resources To US Through Deal: Rahul Gandhi

The Indo-US deal essentially handed over India's data to the United States of America and nobody, except I, uttered a word about it, says Rahul Gandhi.

Thiruvananthapuram: Opposition Leader in Lok Sabha, Rahul Gandhi on Saturday reiterated his charge that Prime Minister Narendra Modi has let the country down and he has betrayed the country.

“I do not use the world lightly. I am using the word precisely because I believe that the PM betrayed the country when he signed the Indo-US deal. The results are going to be borne by the people, farmers, small and medium business owners and workers,” he said while addressing a rally to mark the end of UDF’s Puthuyuga Yathra in Thiruvananthapuram.

“No PM before Modi has opened agriculture to the American agri sector. Large mechanised American farms are going to compete with the small labour-intensive farms of India. The result is going to be devastation in the agriculture sector; cotton, corn, dal, soya and food farmers are going to suffer hugely,” he said.

Rahul accused the PM of opening up the energy sector, “Imagine the PM has committed to President Trump that India will only buy oil from whom the US tells to buy. A powerful country like ours has to take permission from the US if it wants to buy oil from Russia.

The third thing that the US president has extracted from the PM is the Indian data. The most valuable asset that India has is its data. Any talk about Artificial Intelligence has to be based on data. “Our 1.4 billion people produce the largest amount of data in the globe, and this includes medical data, movement of people and communication data. All of it has been signed away by PM Modi.

The final thing the PM has done is that he has promised President Trump that India will import billions of dollars' worth of goods from the US. “I am pretty certain that no Indian PM will do it in natural circumstances. I am confident that Narendra Modi would not sell the Indian farmer, Indian data, under normal circumstances. The only reason he has done this deal is that the PM of India is compromised,” he said.

Rahul said there are three and a half million Epstein files which have still not been revealed and the PM is terrified that the US will release those files.

Anil Ambani, a close confidante of PM is in the files, minister Hardip Puri features there. “We are confident that there are many other names in the files. On the other side, the US has a criminal case registered against Gautam Adani. Modi is terrified that the finances of the BJP and his finances will be revealed to the people of India. This is the reason why the PM panicked and signed the US deal,” he alleged.

“If you go to YouTube, you will find that Trump is openly threatening the PM of India. He openly says that he can destroy the career of Modi. So Modi is controlled by President Trump,” Rahul said.
