Cops Dragging Me Away Whispered “Get Rid Of This Government”: Rahul

New Delhi: Lok Sabha Opposition Leader Rahul Gandhi, on Wednesday, claimed that the security personnel “whispered” in his ears to “get rid of this government” as they tried to remove him from the sit-in protest site in front of the PM’s residence on Tuesday.

Addressing the media at the auditorium in the AICC headquarters Indira Bhavan, Rahul Gandhi said that it has been a huge honour to be able to express the will of people.

“Happy to take many more: Rahul Gandhi on getting hurt during Tuesday's protest,” he said.

“Govt wants to rub NEET paper leak under the carpet, but we want Pradhan to go, PM apologises and education system changes”, Rahul Gandhi said.

Reacting about the recent violence in reaction to the protests, Rahul Gandhi said “In every govt, there comes a time when psychologically the leadership collapses, govt is actually in panic.”

Rahul Gandhi said that the demands raised by the opposition MPs at the parliament on Tuesday and Wednesday, are non-negotiable and opposition leaders will decide on Thursday about future course.

At the press meet, Rahul Gandhi asked “What wrong have our students done to have security forces aiming weapons at them, beating them up” stressing about the situation of the students in India, and why they are taking it to the streets.

152 Paper Leaks, Zero Convictions

Rahul Gandhi revealed that a total of 152 paper leaks have been done over the last decade, if you do the math, it will be one in a month. And so far, Zero convictions have taken place. "7.5 Crore Students and their families have been affected by this.

They put their hard earned money into their children' s education. They have been literally spat on," he said. "It's not just that the system is rigged. The system is unaffordable. Every student knows this. But somehow the government of India doesn't know about it. This is why the students are on the streets."

"Annual expenses of families of NEET aspirants amount to 1.32 lakh crore Rupees, while India’s education is 1.4 lakh crore Rupees." he claimed.

"At the same time, every year, the amount spent by Indian families is almost equal to the country’s education budget. One exam costs the families who take the exam, as our entire education budget. He said that the Government of India, after collecting all the taxes, spends money on the education of our children. This much money is spent by the families of the NEET exams," Leader of Opposition said the media.
