Karnataka Congress minister irks his own party
Hyderabad: AICC Telangana state incharge R.C. Kunthia and TPCC leaders on Saturday expressed serious displeasure over Karnataka Congress minister H.M. Revanna praising Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao at Friday’s Golla/ Kuruma public meeting here.
Mr Kunthia told mediapersons that that it was unwarranted for a Congress minister to praise the TRS government and Mr Rao. He said he would lodge a formal complaint with Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah.
Mr Revanna had said that the credit should go to Mr Rao for introducing the sheep rearing project, which is unique in the country. He also said the 24X7 power supply for farmers was a feather on Mr Rao’s cap.
Praising the performance of the Telangana state government, Mr Revanna said that when he had gone to receive an award for transport from the Centre, he was surprised to see TS minister K.T. Rama Rao receiving four for best performance.
These comments have irked the TS Congress leaders speak to mediapersons daily to criticise the Chief Minister and the government.
TPCC vice-president Mallu Ravi said Mr Revanna should not have praised the TRS as the Congress in the state was highly critical of its functioning.
