KAKINADA: Telugu Desam leaders and cadres have made celebrations by bursting crackers and distributing sweets, after receiving the news of granting interim bail to the imprisoned former Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu by the court.
The leaders and cadres led by Telugu Desam leader Adireddy Srinivas, husband of Rajamahendravaram Urban MLA Adireddy Bhavani blasted crackers and distributed sweets at TD Leader N. Lokesh's camp site at Rajamahendravaram.
Vasu said that "Truth has won in Chandrababu Naidu's case''. He said that Chandrababu Naidu had never committed any mistake in the Skill Development Case or any other schemes during his political career.
After the celebrations, TD National General Secretary N. Lokesh and his wife Brahmani reached the camp office and the leaders welcomed them with the sweet news. It is learnt that Lokesh remarked to the cadres that "War has started now''.
Meanwhile Telugu Desam senior leader and the former Jaggampeta MLA Jyothula Venkata Appa Rao (Nehru) told the media at Kakinada that Truth has won and he thanked the court for granting bail to Chandrababu Naidu. He said that the state government is trying to open another case in the name of liquor.
But Nehru said that the liquor scam was taking place during YSRC rule, the CID playing a blame game on Chandrababu Naidu. He said that during Chandrababu's regime, the liquor sales have been given through the tenders and the then Cabinet has also approved it. He said that the people are behind Telugu Desam and the Jana Sena and Telugu Desam alliance would win in coming elections.
In several parts of erstwhile East and West Godavari Districts, the TD leaders and cadres are celebrating with the bail to Chandrababu Naidu.
