Hyderabad: All outright outcome bets in the local bookie rings as well as the national bookie markets of Mumbai, Delhi and other places regarding the Huzurabad bypoll have been called off.
As reports started coming out of the voting proceeding at a brisk pace from early in the morning on Saturday, and the odds slipping in favour of a TRS win, no bets could be placed.
A source in the bookie market confided, “After 70 paisa, it just spiralled down. There were no takers even at 50 paisa for a rupee.”
As a blank line was reached, with no call-ins, bets began getting placed on the BJP victory margin.
There is 85 paisa on a win below 10,000 votes, Rs 1.10 to a rupee on a margin between 10,000 and 20,000 votes, and 80 paise for a win by over 20,000 votes.
