Rahul Gandhi to address two public meetings in Hyderabad

The party high command will take a call on who to align with at an appropriate time.

Hyderabad: TPCC chief N. Uttam Kumar Reddy on Monday said Congress president Rahul Gandhi would tour Hyderabad and Ranga Reddy districts in the second week of August and interact with students, farmers and women self help groups.

Mr Reddy said the Congress would announce candidates for 2019 elections in state few months in advance. He expressed confidence that people of AP origin and minorities in Telangana would favour the Congress in 2019 as the "secret pact" between Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Chief Minister K. Chandraskhar Rao stands exposed now and said voting for TRS would amount to voting for BJP.

Mr Reddy said, “All surveys point to clear victory for Congress irrespective of any alliances. The party high command will take a call on who to align with at an appropriate time.”
