Hyderabad: TRS working president K.T. Rama Rao on Saturday exuded confidence that the Trinamul, Biju Janata Dal, Bahujan Samaj Party, Samajwadi Party and the YSR Congress would join hands with Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao after May 23, when the Lok Sabha election results are declared, to form government at the Centre.
Addressing a road show at Narsampet, Mr Rama Rao said Chief Ministers Mamata Banerjee and Naveen Patnaik, BSP president Mayawati, SP chief Akhilesh Yadav, YSRC supremo Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy and Mr Chandrasekhar Rao would work together to form a non-BJP and non-Congress government at the Centre.
He said various surveys had indicated that the regional parties would win around 150 seats in the Lok Sabha elections. With these seats, the regional parties would play a crucial role in deciding the Prime Minister.
Attacking Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Mr Rama Rao said he had done nothing for the state in his five-year stint. He said despite his slogan of Sab ka saath, Mr Modi had ignored Telangana. He alleged that Mr Modi had betrayed the poor by promising to deposit Rs 15 lakh in the accounts and not doing so.
He said Mr Modi had copied Mr Chandrasekhar Rao’s Rythu Bandhu scheme. Achhe din (good days) would come only during the governance of Mr Chandrasekhar Rao.
Speaking at a road show at Tandur in the Chevella Lok Sabha constituency, Mr Rama Rao alleged that the Congress leaders who had failed to provide irrigation to villages when they were in power for 10 years had tried to block the work of the TRS government by moving court against the Palamuru-Ranga Reddy irrigation project.
He assured that the government would supply irrigation water to the Vikarabad district within two year through the Palamuru-Ranga Reddy project.
Mr Rama Rao promised to set up a medical college in Tandur town and said Vikarabad district would be merged with the Charminar zone after the elections.
