Bengaluru: The Kumaraswamy government was taken by surprise as the Election Commission of India transferred the deputy commissioners of three districts, including Hassan on Saturday.
While Hassan deputy commissioner, Akram Pasha, who has been transferred without any posting, has been replaced by Ms Priyanka Mary Francis, Belagavi deputy commissioner, S.B. Bommanahalli, has made way for UKP commissioner, Ujjwal Kumar Ghosh, who will take over his post with immediate effect. And Ms M. Kannagavalli has been appointed DC of Vijayapura in place of Mr Y.S. Patil.
All three officers, Mr Pasha, Mr Bommanahalli and Mr Patil were only recently appointed as deputy commissioners of the three districts before the model code of conduct came into force for the Lok Sabha poll.
