KPCC: Ban Amit Shah for vitiating atmosphere
Bengaluru: Slamming BJP president, Amit Shah, for alleged violation of the code of conduct by handing over Rs five lakhs to the kin of RSS worker Raju, the state unit of Congress demanded his externment from Karnataka.
Working president of KPCC, Dinesh Gundurao, told the media here: “Mr Shah should not come to the state as his intentions are very clear - to vitiate the atmosphere and to violate the law. Today’s incident is the best example of it. His malicious intentions, tactics, and unlawful activities that he is indulging in shows that he is behaving like a criminal. I have also got information that attempts have been made to control the media. The Congress will immediately file a complaint with the election commission.”
Rejecting these claims, the BJP said that Mr Shah did not give any money to the kin of Raju. Mr Pratap Simha, MP, tweeted: “Dear Channels, @AmitShah ji did not give any money to Raju’s family, he only asked how much compensation we gave on behalf of the party n it was Rs 5 lakhs.”
