Hassan: In a move that could go some way to assugae a grandson’s frustration at not being given a chance to enter politics, Janata Dal (S) supremo, H.D. Deve Gowda, on Friday not only admitted to grooming his grandson, Prajwal Revanna to contest from Hassan in his place in the 2019 Lok Sabha poll “provided no other leader comes forward to do so,” he also announced that he himself did not intend to seek re-election as Member of Parliament from Hassan considering his age and health.
“I’m serious about fielding Prajwal for the Lok Sabha polls. He is eligible and educated enough to fight the poll, although he gets upset sometimes,” the former prime minister said.
