Undoing Naidu's wrongs: Telangana CM Chandrasekhar Rao
Hyderabad: Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao on Saturday said that people had given him the vertdict to look after TS and Chandrababu Naidu, AP.
“Naidu has plenty of work to do in his state instead of hanging around here. He can sweep the streets from Hindupuram to Itchapuram. We will sweep the streets of Hyderabad. Naidu is unnecessarily creating friction and vitiating the environment here,” he alleged.
“Vadina (sister-in-law) Bhuvaneswari, wife of Chandrababu Naidu is a good lady. She is taking care of Heritage stores here. I am sure she will vote for me. Let Naidu who is now mostly staying in Vijayawada come to Hyderabad once in 15 days and take care of the accounts. Why should he poke his nose here?” he asked.
He added, “Can I go to Amaravati? Or Mumbai like him. I can’t. Why fight unnecessarily. Naidu calls Hyderabad a foreign land in Vijayawada and here he says it’s close to his heart. He should stop cheating people. The Congress-TD rule destroyed Hyderabad. Only TRS can develop Hyderabad and it needs Rs 25,000 crore to Rs 30,000 crore.”
Narrating the sequence of events during the past 15 years that led to the creation of Telangana state, he recalled how he refused to compromise on Hyderabad city and a headless Telangana, how Naidu and others tried to stall the formation of Telangana and demanded Union Territory status for Hyderabad, and got seven mandals of Khammam merged with AP through Venkaiah Naidu’s support.
He said his claim that TS was revenue surplus state came true after bifurcation which ensures Rs 1,000 pension and 192 welfare schemes.
“Naidu claims his stamp is there in Hyderabad. Yes, it is there, everywhere. The city is full of waterlogging, stormwater drains are encroached, four farmers were shot dead in Basheerbagh, Anganwadi workers were trampled by police on horseback, he started contract employees, looted workers, destroyed Musi, polluted Hussainsagar. We are undoing all this,” he said.
Mr Rao said he had respect for Bandaru Dattatreya but he too was telling lies on the 2BHK scheme. “We announced it before the 2014 polls.
