Makloor serial murders show BRS' criminal acts, say MP and MLA

Nizamabad: BJP Parliamentarian Arvind Dharmapuri and Armoor MLA Paidi Rakesh Reddy have criticised BRS MLC Kalvakuntla Kavitha and former MLA A Jeevan Reddy, saying these BRS leaders promoted the politics of murder.

“Their close follower Prashanth murdered six members of a family of Makloor. Police should initiate stringent action against the accused and a fast track court should be set up to punish them,” the MP and MLA said.

The two visited the lone survivor of serial murders, Pune Susheela, at Makloor on Friday. Susheela’s son Prasad, daughter in-law, two daughters and twin grandchildren had recently been murdered by Prashanth Yadav. Arvind and Rakesh Reddy consoled the victim.

Susheela urged the MP and MLA to ensure death penalty for the accused.

Speaking to the media, the MP and MLA said that Kalvakuntla Kavitha and Jeevan Reddy instigated criminal acts against their political opponents. “BRS goons tried to murder me at Issapally and attacked my residence in Hyderabad. Jeevan Reddy followers threatened to kill newly elected BJP Armoor MLA Paidi Rakesh Reddy, Arvind alleged.

The MP and MLA said that killer gangs are thriving in Nizamabad district with support from MLC Kavitha. “If the BRS had returned to power for third time, the Telangana state would have been turned into a slaughterhouse,” they said.
