AP assembly elections to be held with parliament elections, YSRC not afraid: Sajjala

Vijayawada: Adviser to government (public affairs) Sajjala Ramakrishna Reddy has expressed optimism that Andhra Pradesh Assembly elections will be held along with Parliament elections.

He dismissed rumours of early elections.

A round table meeting was organised by BC Welfare JAC on Wednesday on unity and integral development of BCs here on Wednesday. Addressing the meeting, he said that the development of Backward Classes, treating them as Backbone Classes, was visible in AP under the rule of Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy.

“The YSRC is not afraid about elections as we are ready to face it any time. We are not taking Pawan Kalyan into account in the battle of elections.”

He said the CM’s aim is to achieve political empowerment of the backward classes. Jagan Reddy made it clear that the idea is to eliminate economic backwardness.

He asked all those who had gathered at the meeting, “Should we support Chandrababu who wants to cut the BCs into pieces by giving him scissors?” The people should decide whether they want Jagan Mohan Reddy who is doing good for the people or Chandrababu Naidu who always cheated the people, he said.

He said Chandrababu Naidu was giving big promises now. “Why the TD did not do these during its rule from 2014 to 19? In the last four and a half years, Jagan has developed the state in all aspects. He has brought welfare and governance to the poor and middle-class people. Every YSRC leader and cadre is proudly going to the people, seeking votes for the YSRC.”|

He claimed that people were attending the Samajika Sadikara bus yatra in large numbers which clearly showed the popularity of CM Jagan among the people across the state.
