Dubbak development only under Congress: Uttam

He says TRS neglected promises the party made before 2014 elections

Hyderabad: Telangana Congress Committee president N. Uttam Kumar Reddy on Friday said that development in Dubbak had happened only during Congress rule.

Reacting to Union minister of state G. Kishan Reddy’s comments regarding the Congress rule earlier in the day during the campaign for the Dubbak Assembly constituency bypoll, the Congress leader said that Kishan Reddy should know the facts before making allegations.

Alleging that BJP candidate M. Raghuanandan Rao, and state finance minister T. Harish Rao are “like brothers”, and that the BJP candidate is the the benami of Harish Rao, the TPCC chief said that the TRS government had neglected promises it had made before the last general election.

Pointing out that the government did not allocate a single double bedroom house before the bypoll, Reddy questioned TRS president and Chief Minister K. Chandrashekar Rao for not discussing unemployment and student issues.

Appealing to the people to vote for the Congress, Reddy said it would provide a government on behalf of the people.

Clarifying that Congress campaign committee chairperson Vijaya Shanti had not taken any decision to quit the party, Reddy said that she will continue in the Congress.
