KTR-Harish combo out to fight Congress

BRS is for schemes, Congress for scams: KTR

HYDERABAD: The BRS stepped up its attacks on the Congress with the team of ministers K.T. Rama Rao, and T. Harish Rao lambasting the Opposition party and calling on people to show it the door in the elections.

The more blistering of the two attacks came from Rama Rao at a public meeting in Wanaparthy where he trashed the Congress declaring: “BRS means schemes and Congress means scams.”

“When you go out to vote, ensure other parties will not even get their deposits. Bring BRS back to power in the state. And in the Parliament elections make sure that no party can form a government without the support of the BRS,” Rama Rao said.

Rama Rao said in the decades of Congress rule all that the Palamuru region knew was migration and thirst. It is the BRS government that brought irrigation, and drinking water to Palamuru. “For Palamuru Congress means migration, BRS means irrigation,” he said.

Asking people to vote for Singireddy Niranjan Reddy, the agriculture minister, he said former Congress MLA G. Chinna Reddy who keeps complaining that nothing was done in Wanaparthy should look back at the performance of the Congress which represented the constituency for 50 years. “The Congress knows its warranty is over. It is in the ICU but is giving guarantees. The only thing that will happen if Congress comes to power is a new CM every year, no drinking water or power supply, and scams,” Rama Rao said.

Elsewhere in Nakrekal, Harish Rao addressing a BRS public meeting said despite Congress claiming that it had its top leaders in Nalgonda, the BRS won all 12 seats the last time. “The likes of Komatireddy Venkat Reddy, Komatireddy Rajgopal Reddy, and N. Uttam Kumar Reddy, who had won in the past could not even get his own Congress government to start a market yard for farmers growing lemon and sweet lime. They came to us and we did that in a jiffy. It is the BRS, under KCR’s leadership that made things happen and provided irrigation, drinking water and 24 hours of power to farmers. The Congress did nothing,” Harish Rao said.

Campaigning for Chirumarthi Lingaiah, BRS candidate from Nakrekal, Harish Rao said, “The Congress which sold its tickets for Rs 10 crores, will tomorrow sell the state. The Congress only looks after itself. It does not care about the people. First, they could not get anything when their government was in power. Now they lie that there is not enough power supply. If you want three hours of power supply, vote for Congress, if you want 24-hour power supply vote for BRS.”
