Jagan Depending Majorly on Mass Outreach Programmes

VIJAYAWADA: Chief Minister Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy has decided to continue his mass outreach programmes of being in direct touch with the public to score a mega victory in the battle of ballot within AP during the 2024 elections.

Jagananna Aarogya Suraksha is the latest outreach programme of the CM. In offing is Why AP Needs Jagan.

Significantly, the Chief Minister has already compelled his legislators to reach doorsteps of people through Gadapa Gadapaku Mana Prabhutvam, Jagananne Maa Nammakam, Jagane Maa Bhavishyathu, Jagananna Suraksha, and Jaganannaku Chebudam. The 45-day Jagananna Aarogya Suraksha outreach programme is the latest in the series.

The innovative Aarogyasri health programme launched by Dr Y.S. Rajasekhar Reddy has created a place for itself in hearts of the public. Similarly, fee reimbursement, free agriculture power and other welfare schemes have received enormous support from masses. Amma Vodi, Vidya Deevena, Vasati Deevena, Pedalandariki Illu, Rythu Bharosa, Pension Kanuka, Aasara-Cheyutha and Jala Yagnam are the others.

The YSRC government has ensured that at least one welfare scheme reaches each family.

Senior analysts say many seasoned politicians like Telugu Desam supremo Nara Chandrababu Naidu doubted the political acumen of Jagan Mohan Reddy. But he has turned out to be an astute politician. “Gone are the days when people's representatives meet people only during elections. Jagan has changed the scenario altogether. He has put an end to the feudalistic style of political functioning,” the analysts remark.

YSRC leaders say while Chandrababu's TD and Pawan Kalyan's Jana Sena are in aggressive poll mode undertaking bus yatras, Jagan Mohan Reddy is silently ensuring that people benefit from one or the other of his welfare schemes. MLAs, MPs and leaders are being made to visit each and every house to make sure that people in their area are getting benefited from developmental schemes.

Ruling party leaders say JAS programme will cover 1.67 crore families involving 5,000 doctors,14 types of diagnostic kits, and 172 types of medicines. There will be 10,574 free Aarogya Suraksha camps across the state in a span of 45 days. These camps are expected to create a positive impression about Jagan Mohan Reddy and his party before the big battle of 2024.
