TRS fears it will lose Bypoll: N Uttam Kumar Reddy

TPCC president said that the Congress was all set to win the byelection with a majority of not less than 30,000 votes and TRS defeat was inevitable.

Hyderabad: Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee president N. Uttam Kumar Reddy said that the fear of imminent defeat in the Huzurnagar Assembly byelections had forced the TRS leaders to visit Makhdoom Bhavan, the headquarters of Communist Party of India (CPI), and seek its support.

In a press statement, the TPCC president said that the Congress was all set to win the byelection with a majority of not less than 30,000 votes and TRS defeat was inevitable.

He appealed to the CPI leaders not to support the TRS. Instead, the Communist party should support Congress candidate N. Padmavathi Reddy to teach a fitting lesson to the “anti-people” Chandrasekhar Rao Government.

He said that the CPI leaders should not forget how Chief Minister K. Chandrashekhar Rao had humiliated the Left parties in the last six years and also questioned their very existence.

He advised the CPI leaders not to fall into the trap of the TRS which would provide only fake assurances and instead support the Congress in the byelections.
