I-T raids forcing N Chandrababu Naidu towards Congress, says BJP
Hyderabad: Lamenting at the “disgusting” politics allegedly being played by the Congress and TD in the Telugu states, BJP leader Bandaru Dattatreya said it was a pity that AP Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu had joined the Congress and its allies who had institutionalised corruption in the country. He said Mr Naidu owed an explanation to the people why he had to sail with the Congress.
He said Mr Naidu was rattled at the prospect of raids on his close aides like Mr Revanth Reddy and was trying to tarnish the image of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
On the Revanth Reddy issue, Mr Dattatreya said there was no role of the Centre in the raids and condemned the allegations made by the Congress.
He said BJP was the only party working to clean up the financial system by cancelling the licenses of 2 lakh shell companies. The Benami Property Act was a powerful instrument in bringing transparency in the ownership of property, he said.
