EPS accuses Stalin of favoring realtor

Chennai: Leader of the Opposition in the State Assembly, Edappadi K Palaniswami, urged Chief Minister M K Stalin to give up on the plan to shift the proposed new integrated bus stand in Coimbatore from Vellalore, where work had already started on the project, to another location on the Avinashi – Trichy bypass road.

In a statement on Tuesday, Palaniswami said the present 65 acres land for the bus stand was identified by the AIADMK government and the State had already spent Rs 100 crore on it.

Now suddenly, the DMK government was reportedly planning to shift to the new location as a private real estate company, allegedly having links with the family members of Stalin, had acquired several hundreds of acres of land in that area.
