Bandi criticises KCR for rise in crime in TS

Sanjay challenged the Chief Minister to go on a padayatra of his own in all the 119 Assembly constituencies in the state

HYDERABAD: “Telangana state has emerged No. 1 in the country in cybercrimes and human trafficking under the helm of Chief Minister K. Chandrashekar Rao and the Telangana Rashtra Samiti,” Bharatiya Janata Party president Bandi Sanjay Kumar said on Monday.

In addition, Sanjay said, as per the National Crime Records Bureau’s latest data, Telangana state, also has occupied the No. 2 position among states for economic offences, attacks on senior citizens and at the fourth place for suicides by farmers.

Sanjay said the silence of the Chief Minister with respect to the charges against his daughter being allegedly involved in a liquor scam speaks volumes. “If none from his family is involved in the scam, why is he silent and not condemning the allegations,” Sanjay asked.

He also said, “Human trafficking has grown multifold during the KCR’s regime.”
Sanjay challenged the Chief Minister to go on a padayatra of his own in all the 119 Assembly constituencies in the state. “My padayatra is to find out problems of the people. If the Chief Minister says he will go on a padayatra to do the same, I will withdraw mine,” he said.

The fourth phase of the Praja Sangrama Yatra is scheduled to start from September 12. It will be confined to Malkajgiri parliamentary constituency and one of the primary reasons for this decision is also keep track of the BJP campaign in Munugode assembly segment, which falls under Bhongir parliament constituency, adjacent to Malkajgiri.

Sanjay dismissed the Chief Minister’s allegations at the public meeting in Peddapalli on Monday that he had mortgaged the pride of the Telangana state when he handed Union minister Amit Shah his footwear at the Ujjaini Mahankali temple in the city recently. “KCR doesn’t know the difference between handing over footwear and carrying footwear. KCR should remember that he had in the past kicked his political guru Prof. Jayashankar during the Telangana state movement.”

On the Chief Minister’s meeting with farmers’ representatives, Sanjay wondered why farmer organisations from Telangana were not invited for the two-day meeting. He said the Centre never asked farmers to install meters for agriculture pump sets.

“KCR himself wants to do it and throw the blame on the Centre. If the state government makes any such attempt, the BJP will not allow him to come to villages,” he said.
