Anantapur: In the ongoing attack on Jana Sena chief Pawan Kalyan over his critical comments against Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu, Rajya Sabha member and Rayalaseema Hakkula Vedika convener T.G. Venkatesh from Kurnool district has lashed out at the actor politician.
Speaking to the media in Kurnool, Mr Venkatesh observed that Pawan Kalyan was keeping himself away from politics for the past few years, but has returned to the public forum to demand resignation of state MPs to mount pressure on the Centre for special category status.
“It seems his brother Chiranjeevi’s tenure as Rajya Sabha member would soon be over and it is now easy for the Jana Sena chief to seek resignation of the MPs,” he said.
Reacting to the statement by Pawan Kalyan, the Telugu Desam MP said that if Pawan Kalyan made a similar comment against Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Jayalalithaa, she would break his bones. The Jana Sena chief lacked political maturity. It was not easy for a state to get SCS. Pawan Kalyan remained mum for the past few months though the issue of special category status was raging, he said.
