Chandrababu Naidu, KCR scuttling cash-for-vote: YSRC

Venkaiah brokered peace, alleges Ambati Rambabu.

Hyderabad: YSR Congress on Monday took on AP Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu and TS Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao, saying the two were hand in glove with each other in scuttling the cash-for-vote case, at Union minister Venkaiah Naidu’s behest.

The YSRC alleged that Mr Naidu has compromised state’s interests in the fight for special category status and release of central funds for capital Amaravati, as also in relation to the river wa-ter issues with TS, for making personal gains vis-a-vis the cash-for-vote case.

YSRC spokesperson Ambati Rambabu said, “It is 14 months since the case broke out and the progress of investigations and prosecution is at snail’s pace. There is compromise at every stage and Chandrababu Naidu is dancing to his Telangana counterpart’s tunes while a Union minister is brokering peace between the two.”

“The name of Chandrababu Naidu was mentioned 33 times in the chargesheet, yet there was no action against him as there was a compromise and he has mortgaged the state’s interests like he did in river water sharing, special status and others. No supplementary chargesheet was taken up as Chandrababu Naidu had agreed to all the terms of compromise, including the shifting of governance to Vijayawada in a hurry and maintaining silence over river water sharing and special status.

Meanwhile, at a separate press conferences held in Visakhapatnam and Tirupati, party leaders Botsa Satyanarayana and Bhumana Karunakar Reddy echoed the same views and said Chandrababu Naidu who boasted of his integrity should now reply to the court as an accused.
