Ramakuppam police filed a case against the protesting leaders after a complaint by head constable Mani that the TD leaders had obstructed police from performing their duties.
KURNOOL: Ramakuppam police in Chittoor district on Thursday registered a case against 45 leaders of Telugu Desam. Among those booked is P. Manohar, personal secretary of TD chief N. Chandrababu Naidu.
Last week, former sarpanch Mahadevi of Unisiganipalle in Ramakuppam mandal and her husband Jayashankar had allegedly been abused and threatened by a sub-inspector at the Kuppam Court.
Following this, TD leaders protested in front of the police station on Wednesday, condemning the remarks made by the SI.
