Chandrababu Naidu spent Rs 1.50 cr on mosquito data: YSRC

The YSR Congress leader said that nowhere in the world such data collection on mosquitoes was taken up.

VIJAYAWADA: Reacting to the unsavoury remarks of former ministers Mr N. Lokesh and Mr Devineni Uma Maheswara Rao, YSR Congress senior leader Mr V. Vijaya Sai Reddy expressed his displeasure and castigated the previous Telugu Desam regime for spending nearly Rs 1.50 crore to collect data on mosquitoes and their gender, through his Twitter handle on Saturday.

The YSR Congress leader said that nowhere in the world such data collection on mosquitoes was taken up and blamed the previous TD regime led by Mr Chandrababu Naidu for rampant abuse of public money.

Referring to the harsh remarks of former minister Mr N. Lokesh on the State Government setting up a Cabinet subcommittee to find out a series of lapses committed by the previous Telugu Desam regime, Mr Vijaya Sai Reddy stated that after suffering political defeat in the recent polls at Mangalagiri Assembly segment, Mr Lokesh appeared to have “suffered brain haemorrhage” which was the reason why he was making comments beyond his capacity, targetting responsible persons.

Mr Reddy further alleged that Mr Lokesh’s father and ex-CM Mr Chandrababu Naidu had prostrated before the former Union minister Mr P. Chidambaram and conspired against them and added that both Mr Chidambaram and his son Mr Karti Chidambaram were out on bail after getting arrested in a case.

With regard to the adverse remarks made on CM Mr Jagan Mohan Reddy for having met Telangana CM Mr K. Chandrasekhar Rao on the sharing of Godavari water between AP and TS, Mr Reddy tweeted whether Mr Lokesh wanted to practise black magic on CM Mr Reddy.

Later, he cautioned both the former ministers that their days were numbered as they would soon face governmental inquiry to find out their lapses and would be penalised thereafter.
