T Harish Rao tells Rahul Gandhi to talk positive
Hyderabad: Senior minister T. Harish Rao on Monday asked Congress vice-president Rahul Gandhi to talk about the good things that the TRS government had done and warned that the party would not spare him if spoke only about the negatives.
Speaking at a function at the Sangareddy district headquarters, welcomed Mr Gandhi’s visit on June 1. “We are whole heartedly welcoming Mr Gandhi. At the same time I am advising him not to rely on the inputs given by local Congress leaders and speak ill of the TRS government. We have done several good things that are being praised by many other states including neighbouring Karnataka that is ruled by the Congress. You must be ready to talk something about our good deeds also,” Mr Harish Rao said.
Referring to former government whip T. Jayaprakash Reddy’s statement during the Telangana statehood agitation, Mr Harish Rao said, “The same leader who talked against Telangana formation and who threatened to demand the merger of Sangareddy with Bidar district of Karnataka is organising the public meeting.” Mr Gandhi should know this and talk with sense”.
He said any leader from any party was welcome to hold meetings in the state, but they should speak of the good done by the government.
