Jana Sena to have special manifesto for North Andhra: Nadendla

VISHAKHAPATNAM: The Jana Sena would have a special manifesto for the backward north Andhra region for the coming assembly elections, said the party’s political affairs committee chairman Nadendla Manohar.

Addressing the media on Sunday along with local leaders, Manohar said the ruling YSRC party distanced Andhra Pradesh from the developmental activities.

“The Jana Sena is determined to free the state from the YSRC. We would unite all parties opposed to the YSRC.”

Meanwhile, Jana Sena chief Pawan Kalyan had a meeting with TD national president Chandrababu Naidu on Saturday to discuss such vital issues, Manohar said.

On north Andhra, Manohar said the region was endowed with natural resources but these districts were neglected by successive governments. The area remained backward, forcing the people to migrate to other states for livelihood.
On the decision by the chief minister to make Visakhapatnam the capital of Andhra Pradesh, Manohar said the intention of the ruling party was to grab the prime lands. In fact the YSRC was grabbing lands all over the state, he said.

“We have formed the village committees affiliated to the party in Vizianagaram, Srikakulam and Visakhapatnam,’’ he said.

He said the YSRC government has no special love for the fisher folk families. “As the elections are round the corner, the chief minister is laying foundation stones for fishing harbours, ports and fish landing centers,” he said.
