The minority votes will play a major role in UDF victory.
Kozhikode: According to IUML, UDF would grab 17 to 18 parliament seats in the state. Rahul Gandhi will get a majority of 2.5 lakh votes and the party candidates will trounce rivals by a margin of 2.1 lakh and 70,000 votes at Malapp-uram and Ponnani respectively, according to the IUML state committe meet which held here on Monday.
“The minority votes will play a major role in UDF victory. Muslim League had taken the contest in Vadakara as a prestigious one. Our calculation has gone well and K. Muraleedharan will emerge victorious with a thumping majority,” said IUML leader P.K Kunjalikutty, after the meet.
