Chennai: With social media going gaga over an alleged report of actor Kamal Haasan ridiculing poll officials for not including his name in the electoral roll, the election department responded through WhatsApp and Twitter pointing out that the actor’s name was very much found in the final voters roll.
In fact, Chief Electoral Officer Rajesh Lakhoni also shared a screenshot of actor’s epic card number with his image figuring in Mylapore constituency.
The official twitter handle of CEO also requested, “Dear Mr @ikamalhaasan! Pls do vote. You are a role model!! # TN100percent.” It may be noted that in 2011 Assembly polls, the actor’s name was not in the voters list creating a controversy.
