Edappadi K Palaniswami reiterates poll promises will be delivered

CM repeated his charge that the DMK was notorious for violence and unruly public conduct.

Cuddalore: Chief Minister Edappadi K. Palaniswami on Friday reiterated his resolve to deliver on all the poll promises made in the AIADMK manifesto and quoted from the past performance during Amma's regime to support his promise.

Addressing poll rallies in support of the PMK candidate at Panrutti near here, the CM repeated his charge that the DMK was notorious for violence and unruly public conduct. He referred to the attacks allegedly done by DMK cadres on liquor shops and biriyani eateries in this context.

On the other hand, he said, the AIADMK government ensured law and order in the state. Some media surveys had in fact concluded that Tamil Nadu topped in the country in this area. Besides, the state has emerged at the top in healthcare sector and the efficient management of electricity, he said.

“Amma had promised in the 2011 Assembly poll manifesto that she would eliminate the acute power crisis being faced by the state then and when she won the election, she indeed achieved that. In fact, she ensured that Tamil Nadu became surplus in power supply”, the CM said.

On TN being top in providing quality healthcare, he quoted recent instances of the experts in government hospitals in Chennai fixing back the limbs separated from the patients following accidents.

“This complicated surgical procedure is unheard of elsewhere in the country”, said the CM, sounding very proud before his impressive crowds.
