CPM veteran T K Hamza's sexist comment upsets woman journo

Suvi Viswanathan in the Facebook post alleged that when she called up the senior leader, she got another question as a reply.

Thiruvananthapuram: News 18 journalist Suvi Viswanath has narrated a sexist comment from CPM veteran T K Hamza, in the context of the Mangalam sex tapes which led to the resignation of A K Saseendran from the post of Transport Minister, on Facebook.

Suvi Viswanathan in the Facebook post alleged that when she called up the senior leader, she got another question as a reply.

The question was ‘ why make me a Saseendran? No woman should come. If there was a male reporter I was prepared to give an interview'.

She goes onto say in her Facebook post –“I have been doing journalism for the last six to seven years. Have never done anything that was against ethics. My belief is that most of the women in the field were like this. I did not felt any limitation as a woman while doing the job of a journalist. For me the job of a journalist was close to my heart as it was my wish. I don’t think that the credibility of journalism is destroyed due to the single news aired by Mangalam. I also do not feel that journalism has suddenly become a difficult job. We cannot do anything about such yellow journalism pieces made by some paparazzi. We are also not willing to tolerate such dirty talk.’
