Chennai: ‘Captain’ Vijayakanth, it appears, has already decided on his Cabinet. He will be the Chief Minister when the DMDK-PWA front wins the May 16 elections, said his brother-in-law L.K. Sudeesh, who is DMDK youth wing secretary, addressing an election rally at Kovilpatti in Thoothukudi district late Tuesday.
“When we win the elections, Captain will be the Chief Minister and Vaiko will be the deputy CM. The finance minister will be G. Ramakrishnan (state CPM secretary), Thol Thirumavalavan (VCK chief) the education minister and R. Mutharasan (CPI state secretary) the local administration minister”, Sudeesh declared.
Projecting a chief ministerial candidate before launching into the poll battle is not uncommon but this is, perhaps, the first time that the TN electorate has got an opportunity to even know its ‘future’ ministers.
