Pawan Kalyan Floated Party to Help Telugu Desam: Jagan
Kakinada: Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy has targeted Telugu Desam president Nara Chandrababu Naidu and Jana Sena chief Pawan Kalyan for their “strange” political alliance.
“Pawan Kalyan is the only leader in politics to have floated a party for the sake of another party (TD) and he is trying hard for making Naidu the next CM by dashing the hopes of his own cadres,” the chief minister said.
He described Pawan Kalyan as “Thyagala Thyagaraju’’ (one who sacrifices his ambition for the sake of another).
Jagan Reddy made the observations while launching the Jagananna Devena scheme to credit the fees reimbursement amounts given by the government to students, at an event in Bhimavaram in West Godavari District on Friday.
Referring to the three marriages of Pawan Kalyan, Jagan Reddy said Pawan Kalyan changed his wives like his cars. “Such a leader is coming to the people with a slogan of ‘bringing change’,” he said.
“We all have daughters. I too have two daughters. Will anyone prefer such a man to be his son-in-law? Then, how can Pawan Kalyan be a leader of our state,” he asked the people.
The chief minister said Chandrababu cheated the people with false promises. “Can Chandrababu Naidu go to any area and claim he did something good for the people there,’’ he asked.
The chief minister said both Chandrababu Naidu and Pawan Kalyan stayed in Telangana and played politics in Andhra Pradesh. "Pawan Kalyan floated a party to promote the interests of Chandrababu Naidu. Chandrababu may give seats or may not give seats to Jana Sena, but Pawan Kalyan would support him. Pawan Kalyan is mortgaging his cadres to a leader who cheats others,” Jagan Reddy said.
He said both Chandrababu Naidu and Pawan Kalyan can’t dare to contest the polls alone. “For the past 55 months of rule, the YSRC government has given Rs.2.45 lakh crore in welfare and other benefits to the people to improve their livelihood standards.”
