Dinakaran meets Sasikala in jail
BENGALURU: AIADMK leader T.T. V. Dinakaran met his aunt and sidelined leader V.K. Sasikala at the Parappana Agrahara central prison on Thursday, for the first time after being elected from R.K. Nagar assembly constituency in the recently held by-election.
It is said that V.K. Sasikala was observing ‘silence’ since December 5 and
conversed with him through writing.
Dinakaran met her around noon for more than 30 minutes and reportedly learnt that she was on ‘mauna vrata’ (vow of silence), since. December 5, the first death anniversary of former Tamil Nadu chief minister J. Jayalalithaa.
“Dinakaran has spoken to her and she has replied to him in writing. Whatever she had to ask, she has done it through writing itself. She will observing ‘mauna vrata’ for a few more days,” a party official said.
