KAKINADA: People of Gowda community have demanded that state government take action against former MLA Chintamaneni Prabhakar for attacking a Gowda boy Veeranki Lakshminarayana at Ramachandrapuram village in Pedavegi mandal of Eluru district.
Members of Gowda community also took out a procession from the Fire Station to the Collector's office in Eluru on Tuesday in this regard.
Leading the procession, AP Gowda Sangham Joint Action Committee co-convener K. Ram Prasad said a week ago, two shepherds had entered Chintamaneni Prabhakár’s agriculture field, following which Prabhakar got angry and beat them up.
One of the boys brought the issue to the notice of community elders. When the elders questioned Prabhakar about the incident, he maintained that he did not beat the shepherds.
However, in protest, members of the community took out a procession demanding against the former MLA.
