Ramesh Chennithala says BJP not strong enough
Thrissur: Opposition leader Ramesh Chennithala has come out against the statement of BJP national president Amit Shah that the party will pull down the state government on the Sabarimala issue during his speech at Kannur on Saturday.
Speaking to media persons here on Sunday, Mr Chennithala said that the visit of Amit Shah was aimed at creating violence in Kerala and BJP had no strength to pull down the state government.
“In light of the Sabarimala issue, both BJP and CPM are spreading communalism where as the issue can be solved by Amit Shah by just ringing up Prime Minister Modi (seeking an amendment). The BJP campaign is for a Common Civil Code and CPM in Kerala is in a way supporting it by their adamant stand on the Sabarimala women entry issue,” Ramesh added.
He also said that the CPM which is now taking about renaissance did not even exist at the time of renaissance in Kerala and the party which did not celebrate the temple entry proclamation for the past 82 years have suddenly come up with such a celebration this year.
