Go play in Gujarat, Pinarayi Vijayan tells Amit Shah

Chief Minister said that Mr Shah did not have the strength to do that and he would better go and speak in such a manner in Gujarat.

Palakkad: Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan has warned the Sangh Parivar not to play with the state government hearing the words of BJP national president Amit Shah.

Speaking at the state conference of the Pattikajathi Kshema Samathi (PKS) here on Sunday night Mr Vijayan said on that if the members of Sangh Parivar come to play with the government the game would turn serious.

Reacting to Amit Shah’s statement in Kannur on Saturday that the state government would be pulled down on the Sabarimala issue, the Chief Minister said that Mr Shah did not have the strength to do that and he would better go and speak in such a manner in Gujarat.

Mr Vijayan categorically said that the Supreme Court order on Sabarimala would be implemented and there would be restriction on the time the devotees could spend at the sannidhanam to maintain law and order at the temple shrine.

“The government will not embark on any plan to bring women into Sabarimala. But, government won’t yield to the pressure exerted by the conservative sections in the society against the Supreme Court order,” he added.
